hi everybody,

at the moment at home i have 2 xp pro machines connected up through a crossover cable with one of them sharing a dial up connection through ics, "i know very basic"

what i want to do is setup a dc with probably windows 2003 server
and share out the same dial up connection,as far as i can remember you cannot run ics while having a dc running on the same machine,so what other way can this be setup?

thanks in advance for all the help

You might try a proxy server. Analogx.com has a quick and easy freebee you could use. It comes with a help file if you need to set ports to get it to work.

Jackeen --

The other thing in MS OS is called “Routing And Remote Access”, this is located under “Administrative Tools” in the Control Panel. And yes it does void out ICS.

Good Luck.
