i am a home user in singapore. using broadband connection with a linksys befsr41 router with 2 hosts. how can i create a IIS server dat can be access from a remote system?? :shock:

If you have a static (unchanging) IP address for the machine you want to use as a server, all you'll have to do is setup IIS on the host.

At the router end you may have to allow inbound connections to port 80. I'm not a linksys expert, but I think tfs uses one, he'll probably give you any configuration you will need on the router end.

First just check if it just works without anything fancy.. you might be pleasantly surprised.

Go to advanced tab and to forwarding and using port 80 pointing to the private address of your machine running IIS. What you are doing is port forwarding and opening up your private network for only one port on one host and the router is forwarding all requests to port 80 to that address.
