I am Naz ( Network ) and I am working as a Level 1 Network Engineer. I have done CCNA now i am doing CCNP - Routing and Switching.
I need help regarding after CCNP routing switching I am planning to take domina in Security VPN I mean I wanna become a Network Security professional so can any one help me out after my CCNP routing and switching which certification i have to do for become a network security professional.
I would possbily look at doing the CCSP track next. You will already have some basic knowledge from doing the CCNA/CCNP tracks and some of the CCSP goes into more details about securing the Cisco Routers/Switches more so your knowledge will help you when you start to get to these area's.
The CCSP track is seperate then the CCNP. The CCNP deals more with Switching/Routing/Routing Protocol & Troubleshooting. The CCSP deals more with security like Firewalls/VPN/NIDS/HIDS & Best practices for securing routers, switches.
The only pre-requesit for either of these exams is the CCNA.
You can do your CCNP or/and CCSP in either order
I already have my CCSP (nearly 3 years ago now though) but i am not yet a CCNP.
