The "auto secure" command in enable mode shuts off a bunch of services that run by default on a fresh router. It also does some AAA configuring and ACL setups.

Is there a show command that shows running services on a router? I tried searching but couldnt find any.

I do not know of a command to show open services. I've been using either NESSUS or netcat (both are freeware) to scan for open services on the router.

Try show processes. This shows all processes currently running.
