This company that we maintain their network has a CISCO 506E - and they hosed it! We are trying to reset it back to it's default state, so we may reprogram it, but it won't budge! Using hyper terminal - we can receive the console but not write to it. Is there a way to wipe it out - I know on other CISCO routers its fairly easy to do, but we can't find any information on it. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Hey thanks, I'll give it a try. One of the problems we have is the fact that the pix won't let us talk to it! We get the logon screen through the console, but it will not accept any commands from our computer. And of course thier so called computer guy changed the IP for the internal website. Therefore we can't get to it by HTTPS. Hence the reason for zapping the the PIX! lol Is there a better program to use instead of Hyperterminal?
