Hi guys.
how does one configure Network Address Translation on a linksys wireless router when working on packet tracer?
I have this project i'm working on and my linksys router is on a wireless subnet, its connected to an 1841 router via the internet interface. the 1841 is also connected to a wired subnet and has a serial link to an ISP router. pings to the ISP server and wired subnet are successful but none of the pings to the wireless hosts on the linksys router are successfull.
Please help.

I would do the following in sequence.

1. Make sure that the cable between the 1841 and the linksys is a crossover.

2. Can the 1841 ping the linksys internet interface?. If not then make sure you either set a static IP on the linksys's internet interface or enable DHCP and configure a DHCP server on the 1841 part.

3. If the 1841 CAN ping the linksys. Then are the hosts connected to the linksys getting a dynamic IP? if not then make sure you Enable the DHCP server on the linksys side and configure it with a correct range of IPs.

4. If the hosts are getting an IP but they can NOT ping the 1841. Then you might need a static route on 1841 pointing to the wireless network. Tell us if you need the config for this.

It can help if you could post a link to your packet tracer .pkt file so we can check it.
