I have 2 linksys routers
I am trying to get one to server as an outer layer of security and the other as an inner layer....Not sure how to do it...any help would be apppreciated....new lil project for me

Firstly, are you going to host any servers on your private network? If so, you're probably trying to "double NAT". Check out this post
for some views on the subject.
If you do want to go ahead with it, you will need to:
1. Set the external interface of the "outer" router to the IP provided by your ISP.
2. Select a private subnet to which both the internal interface of the "outer" router, and the external interface of the "inner" router will belong to.
3. Finally, select another private subnet which will exist behind the "inner" router.
The following step is not required if you are not hosting any services behind the routers:
You will then need to setup port forwarding from the external interface of the "outer" router all the way through to the internal network behind the "inner" router.
