just one question : what's the difference betwin routed mode and transparent mode ? :roll:

lol, glad.

Routed mode will route traffic from one subnet to another subnet (like a router).
Transparent Mode allows you to plug the ASA in-line to filter traffic. Basically, it doesn't have IP Addresses you just put it inline with the traffic flow so all traffic has to go through the appliance.

ok i understand :P

but if th firewall haven't an ip address how can i use ASDM ?
I think i can configure the ETH0/1 with an ip of my network, can i ?
and for finish (lool) i just need to put the firewall between my adsl router(connected to the eth0/0) and my network (connected to the eth1/1)

Hmm, not too sure on the ASDM ? I would imagine you would have to configure one the interfaces with an IP Address. I have never used Transparancy but thats how i beleive it works (without ip address as its installed inline).

Yes, you would put it between the router and the network :)
