Anyone have suggestions/tips for connecting an ethernet handoff to the LAN? Are routers necessary or can we just plug into the core and extend a VLAN across to the other connected site?
We have AT&T UVN ring with ONS 14545 devices as Nodes on the fiber ring at both sites. 100M E connection built (by carrier) on both boxes.
Any tips, suggestions or 'gotchas' to be aware of would be appreciated.
